Why you should coop this:
Great fun and great concept. Bringing Coordination into the chaos with 4 players is just fun and the game has a nice pixelated appearance and therefore communicates the tasks quite well . It is also nice that most of the game takes place on a single screen. The enemy variety and how your arsenal is suited to defeat them is well designed so a flawless victory needs you to know the weaknesses of the attackers and plan your tasks based on who is approaching on what side of the castle. The coordination aspect of games like overcooked is here also mixed with a bit of 2D platforming since some tasks take a few jumps and therefore take time so you have to swap tasks when jumping to your target takes enough time for making a task a two-person job. We had a laugh out loud time while coming up with terms for honey that has already been refined to be a projectile or raw honey and other terms that make up a lingo that allowed us to communicate complex tasks in short exchanges. We really like that succes depends on how well coordinated the team is. It is a really succesful genre mix, that is something special because it allows for online coop.
Shortcomings:
The game unfortunately is a little buggy. You can play around some bugs – for example players should never use or reload the same canon at the same time or you risk it being stuck. Also players can sometimes become unable to pick up stuff. These bugs were quite frequent but even though these are very annoying they did no rob us of the fun, so we coped. Appart from technical troubles the game has surprisingly few shortcomings and nailed what it was going for.

This game is a genre mix and has some complex tasks and you have to communicate, coordinate and work together well to use all your ressources in a way that allow you to reach flawless defenses. The whole team has to take into account tower defense dynamics, crafting and refilling tasks and platforming on the ways between the different stations.
